An Award-winning Novel

Saturday November 13th is Moonbeam's book awards ceremony and Getty and Rosario will be flying to Traverse City (Michigan) for the occassion. Desta, Getty's debut novel, is one of the winners in the Young Adult Fiction category. Getty will be signing books as well as read from his novel at this event. We encourage visitors to check out DESTA's table, meet the author and purchase a signed copy. You will be glad you did. This book is probably unlike any you have read before.

To Desta's current and future readers: On Friday, December 3rd, I'll be at the Lodi High School library from 7:30 a.m.to 4:30 p.m. talking about the art of storytelling and fiction writing. I'll be speaking evey hour (assuming I won't lose my voice at some point) to different classes. The last hour is open to the public.
